HALT MTBF ACHIEVED ESTIMATOR

Although HALT traditionally is known not to provide MTBF estimates, reliability growth provides some basic concepts that allows us to provide relative growth that should occur. This is DfRSoft's model to allow one to estimate the POST HALT MTBF growth achieved. It is based on traditional reliability growth analysis.  The model is based on traditional fixes achieved, with traditional fix effectiveness factor. Based on this traditional reliability growth and number of samples tested, if we know the initial pre HALT MTBF we can then assert the final MTBF growth expected to be achieved in a full reliability growth program like HALT. This is the DfRSoft model. That being said this model is what it is, a relative growth assessment. Obviously, if no failure modes are found we do not expect applicability. However, DfRSoft's job is to bring you the most advanced knowledge base to help you in your analysis, this is basic for traditional historical reliability growth, used wisely, this model can be helpful for your MTBF projections.
